Adam Strychaluk

Associate Attorney

Adam Strychaluk, Esq., is an associate attorney at Hamilton Clarke. Adam’s practice is focused on prosecuting civil rights actions, criminal defense, and civil litigation. He has represented individuals, corporations, and civic organizations in a range of complex cases before federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels.

Adam has helped secure millions of dollars for clients who have been wrongfully convicted, victimized by police and corrections officers, and discriminated against because of their race, sex, religion, and disability in employment, education, and housing. His experience includes helping secure a ground-breaking, multi-million-dollar jury award on behalf of a prisoner beaten by correctional officers; an eight-figure settlement on behalf of a man wrongfully convicted of murder; and one of the largest settlements ever recovered in New York on behalf of a disabled man horrendously abused at a group home. Adam also litigated what became the first “George Floyd” protest case in New York City to settle in federal court, and assisted in recovering a multi-million-dollar settlement on behalf of protestors attacked by police, as well as one of the highest recorded settlements in New York City for an unlawful stop-and-frisk. He has also achieved important results and significant settlements for clients who have been the victims of sexual abuse and religious discrimination.

Before joining Hamilton Clarke, Adam served as a law clerk for the Honorable District Judge Wilma A. Lewis of the District Court of the Virgin Islands and practiced at a boutique firm focused on civil rights litigation. He also interned at five public defender’s offices during law school, including the Federal Defenders of New York, Brooklyn Defender Services, and New York County Defender Services. He is a graduate of McGill University and New York University School of Law.
