HC is excited to announce the launch of the Shareholder Activism & Hostile Transactions practice, led by our partner Drew Chapman who recently joined HC after over 25 years as a partner at some of the country's largest law firms. Drew has extensive experience representing both activist investors in offensive engagements as well as companies on defense, and seamlessly integrates both the corporate and litigation aspects of activism and hostile transactions.
The Shareholder Activism & Hostile Transactions practice specializes in activism campaigns, proxy contests, public and private hostile transactions, and litigation in Delaware Chancery Court, federal court, and various state courts. We also have considerable expertise involving BDCs and investment funds, and have successfully removed boards and management in both cases.
Our attorneys are sought out for their strategic and tactical advice, intellectual creativity, and aggressiveness. We are often called upon to help with existing matters where other firms have been unsuccessful, and we have a proven track record of turning the situation around and achieving success.
HC's Shareholder Activism and Hostile Transactions practice not only provides direct advice to clients in this space, but also partners with some of the world's leading law firms as co-counsel, strategic advisor, and litigation counsel, bringing our specific expertise to their clients.
