Brian G. Buckmire is a prominent legal figure, widely recognized for his contributions both inside the courtroom and beyond. A former senior staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society, Brian played a pivotal role in the Criminal Defense Practice’s Homicide Defense Task Force, where his expertise and advocacy have made a profound impact on countless cases.

Throughout his distinguished career, Brian has represented a broad spectrum of clients facing criminal charges, including fraud, weapons offenses, assault, narcotics possession, and more. His passionate defense of his clients has led to acquittals, successful suppression motions, and the safeguarding of individual rights in high-stakes cases.

Kelly.

In addition to his legal and media work, Brian is the author of the YA novel, “Come Home Safe”, which explores wrongful arrests and the critical conversations parents must have with their children about interactions with law enforcement. He is also dedicated to his community, having served as Director’s Counsel and a Board of Trustee member at Coney Island Prep, a charter school in South Brooklyn.
